How to Choose Artificial Plants for Commercial Spaces: A Buyer's Checklist
Before placing a wholesale order, evaluate size, material, pot style, and maintenance needs to match your project budget and design vision.
When sourcing artificial plants for hotels, offices, retail stores, or residential show flats, buyers often focus on price first — and regret it later. The wrong plant choice can look cheap under bright lobby lighting or wilt in humid coastal climates. Here is a practical checklist our project managers use with every new client.
1. Start with the space, not the product.
Measure ceiling height, floor area, and foot traffic. A 1.8-meter Fiddle Leaf Fig needs at least 2.5 meters of vertical clearance and a stable planter base. High-traffic areas demand weighted cement pots to prevent tipping.
2. Match material to environment.
Our plants use over-glued plastic stems and film-textured leaves. These withstand UV exposure in atriums and resist dust buildup in air-conditioned offices. For outdoor terraces, request UV-stabilized foliage to prevent fading.
3. Check pot quality and weight.
The pot is 30% of the visual impact. Ceramic and cement pots feel premium and anchor tall trees securely. Lightweight plastic pots work for wall-mounted or shelf arrangements where weight matters.
4. Request samples before mass production.
We encourage every wholesale partner to review a physical sample. Photos hide leaf density gradients and stem texture differences. A sample lets you verify color accuracy under your actual lighting conditions.
5. Plan for packaging and freight.
Tall trees require custom cartons with corner protectors. Confirm whether the supplier provides export-grade packing or if you need to arrange repackaging locally.
